When you use GameStats, we may collect the following data:
- Email address — for authentication and communications.
- Username — visible on your public profile (if you configure it as such).
- Avatar — profile picture that you upload yourself.
- Activity data — games tracked, ratings, reviews, lists, completed challenges.
- App preferences — language, visual theme, notification settings.
- Technical data — app version, operating system (for technical support only).
3. Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of your data is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By registering with GameStats, you agree to the processing of your data in accordance with this policy.
4. Purpose of Processing
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Enable the app to function (authentication, profiles, game library).
- Personalize your experience (recommendations, themes, preferences).
- Send you push notifications if you have enabled them.
- Manage your Pro subscription (if applicable).
- Improve the app through anonymous error reports.
We do not use your data for advertising purposes, nor do we sell it to third parties.
5. Third Parties That May Access Your Data
GameStats uses the following external services that act as data processors:
- Supabase — Database and authentication provider. Data stored in the West EU (Ireland) region. Policy: supabase.com/privacy.
- IGDB (Twitch) — Public video game database. Only public game information queries are made; no personal data is sent.
- RevenueCat — Payment and subscription processor. Manages the Pro subscription. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Google (OAuth) — Optional authentication with a Google account. Only used if you choose to sign in with Google. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Your GDPR Rights
As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request the deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to the processing of your data at any time.
- Restriction: request that we suspend processing while resolving a complaint.

7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly from the app (Settings → Danger zone → Delete account). This action permanently deletes your profile, game library, reviews and all associated data.
8. Security
Your data is protected by encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is restricted through Row Level Security policies. Only you can view and modify your own data.
9. Minors
GameStats is not directed at children under 16 years of age. If we detect that a minor has provided us with personal data without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you through the app if we make significant changes. The date of the last update will always appear in the header of this document.
